As our students and teachers prepare to go back to school, we would like to celebrate and bless the beginning of the new school year. PreK-12th students, college students, teachers, professors and staff please bring your backpacks, work bags and supplies to Mass Sunday, August 25th. Please keep our students, teachers and all school employees in your prayers as they begin this new school year.

Everyone is invited to join us for a Welcome Back Breakfast and fellowship on Sunday, August 25th after Mass to welcome all students and staff back for the new school year. Breakfast will be hosted by the Knights of Columbus and Catholic Daughters in the Assumption Arena. Please sign up on the guest list in the gathering area of the church with your name and number attending.

We are hoping to form a mixed chorus group in order to expand our music ministry. This would be female and male voices, young and not so young. We envision this group singing a couple times a month at both masses. Can you share your talent with our community? What a great way to be involved and support one another in faith. Please contact our parish office to participate!!!

St. Patrick Parish in Chadron has received a $20,000 matching grant, from Catholic Extension Society, to realize our dream for a new Parish Life Center. Catholic Extension Society works in solidarity with people to build up vibrant and transformative Catholic Faith Communities among the poor in the poorest regions of America.

Here’s how it works: We have one year to raise $20,000 for our project and Catholic Extension Society will match those funds. We want to raise “new money” funds that have not been previously pledged or donated. Please contact our parish office for questions or to donate. Mark your donations challenge/matching.

Join us on August 15th for the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin.

This is a Holy Day of Obligation. Mass will be at 7:15 AM and again at 5:30 PM.
